Languages:

Malawi is country with many Languages, the main 3 being Chichewa, Chitumbuka and Chiyao. There are many dilects of each Language although all of them being very similar they have properties that set them apart making them unique and allow them to carry their own history. Chichewa is the most common of all the dilects and is understood all across the country. Being fairly old the language is still able to hold its own and not be taken over with English Words. Below is the webpage to the Malawi Embassy giving more interesting details on the Languages and other cultural elements of Malawi.
